About copyright
The Universidad Nacional de Música recognizes copyright as the set of moral and property rights granted by Peruvian law to the creators of artistic, literary, or scientific works (including computer programs, databases, and other related creations) in order to protect their originality and guarantee the exercise of their rights over the use of said works.
Authors submitting articles to Antec: Peruvian Journal of Musical Research must declare, under their own responsibility, that they own the rights to the work, that it is original, and that it does not infringe the rights of third parties.
Publication in this journal implies that:
- The authors retain ownership of their moral rights, which are inalienable, imprescriptible, and non-waivable, in accordance with Peruvian law.
- They authorize the UNM, on a non-exclusive basis, to exercise the proprietary rights of reproduction, distribution, and public communication of their work, for exclusively academic, research, and cultural dissemination purposes, both in print and digital formats, nationally and internationally.
- They grant the journal the right of first publication of the unpublished work, which is subject to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This guarantees open, free access without financial restrictions, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, provided the source is properly cited and the terms of the license are respected.
- They retain the right to subsequently publish their article in institutional repositories, databases, academic networks, social networks, or personal websites, provided the first publication in Antec is mentioned and the corresponding link is included.
- They may, if they deem it appropriate, establish other distribution or licensing agreements for their work, without prejudice to the provisions set forth in the preceding points.
The journal recommends that authors promote the circulation of their articles through the internet and institutional repositories, which contributes to increasing the academic visibility of the work and favors its impact through greater possibilities for consultation and citation.
