Rafael Leonardo Junchaya, a Peruvian composer born in 1964, began his career in electronic music in the 1980s with the help of his father, who bought a Casio CZ-3000 and later an Atari ST1040 computer to work with MIDI. He created several electronic works, such as "Variantes motímbricas" and "Piedra del Q'osqo". He collaborated with Penélope Quesada on "Ccoyllurcha" and continued with pieces such as "Die Erscheinung" and "Sevoc Anatos". His last electronic work, "Tambok", was a finalist in a competition in 2005. Since then, he has been working on "analogue" music due to the lack of technical facilities to continue with electronic music.
