Abstract

The fifty-third edition of the Resonancias Journal, dedicated to musical research and published by the Institute of Music of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in December 2023, stands out for the inclusion of a dossier commemorating the 50th anniversary of the coup d'état in Chile. Although the journal claims to have an international character, the relevance of this section is undeniable, considering the need to remember a significant event that continues to have repercussions, even for those of us who did not live through the painful times of the dictatorship. The documents in this edition also show how these events have influenced Latin America and other distant regions.
