Abstract

The year 2020 has been immensely surprising since its beginning with the appearance and global spread of a lethal virus called COVID-19. Suddenly, we were forced to adapt to a new social reality, where public cultural events and artistic presentations, carefully planned since the previous year, were overshadowed and lost presence, since, regardless of their specific area, all artistic-cultural activity had to be carried out in the virtual environment. One of these activities, overshadowed by the confinement situation, was the celebration in the musical world for the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, to point out one of great significance. Surely, this year will go down in history as a sad period in which humanity was forced to stop its public or social actions and rethink, collectively, its values, customs and vital priorities.

It is under these conditions that Antec faces the challenge of virtuality, in its entire process. Our efforts are aimed at offering in this issue, volume 4, number 1, a powerful range of articles that have been carefully chosen for the occasion.
