Manuscript Formatting

1. Formatting Requirements for Manuscripts

The following general technical requirements apply to all manuscripts submitted to the journal.

1.1. Manuscript Templates

Authors should download and use the appropriate template for the type of submission from the links below:

All manuscripts must be prepared in A4 format with margins of 1.15 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right).

Typeface

  • Main text: Times New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Titles and contents of tables, figures, and examples: 11-point font.
  • Footnotes: 10-point font.

Paragraph Indentation and Line Spacing

The first paragraph of each section should not be indented. Beginning with the second paragraph, a first-line indent of 1.27 cm should be applied. Line spacing should be set to 1.15 throughout the manuscript. No additional spacing should be inserted between paragraphs or after section headings. Footnotes should also use 1.15 line spacing.

Text Alignment

The main text should be fully justified.

1.2. Reference Style

ANTEC: Revista Peruana de Investigación Musical follows the UNM Editorial Style Guide, which is based on the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th edition. Authors are encouraged to consult the guide to ensure the correct formatting of citations and references.

1.2.1. Tables, Figures, and Examples

Tables

Tables should be formatted using horizontal rules only: one above the column headings and one closing rule at the bottom of the table. The only element that should appear in bold is the table number. All tables must be cited in the text (e.g., "see Table 1" or "as shown in Table 1"). The same convention applies to figures.

An example is provided below.
