Peruvian composer Juan Arroyo has made a name for himself in Europe thanks to the originality of his contributions in electroacoustics and the visceral intensity of his instrumental writing. Born in Lima in 1981, he studied composition at the Conservatories of Lima, Bordeaux and at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris, and has received multiple awards for his works. He is currently a guest composer of the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru, co-artistic and musical director of the Ensemble Regards, co-artistic director of the Sonomundo Festival, curator of the Experimenta festival of the Gran Teatro Nacional del Perú, professor at the Jean-Baptiste Lully Conservatory, and has been a member of the Artistic Council of the Casa de Velázquez, between 2021 and 2024.
