About the Journal
Antec: Revista Peruana de Investigación Musical is a journal published twice a year by the National University of Music of Peru. It operates through a peer-review process conducted by its editorial board and has national and international circulation. The journal is aimed at students, teachers, and researchers in music and related fields. Antec adopts an interdisciplinary approach, offering an integrative perspective that seeks to understand how the musical profession is interconnected with various fields of knowledge and aspects of human behavior. For publication, originality of the topic is required, as well as its potential contribution to a better understanding of musical phenomena in their respective human contexts. Within this framework, the journal provides equal space for the study of the various forms of musical expression adopted by societies as meaningful cultural practices.
