The incidental music of Manuel M. Ponce for Juan Ruiz Alarcón’s La verdad sospechosa

This article shows the progress of a research about the incidental music composed by Manuel M. Ponce in 1934 for Juan Ruiz de Alarcón’s La verdad sospechosa, on the loccasion of the inauguration of Mexico’s Palacio de Bellas Artes. The information shown is the result of a literature review of books, thesis, and articles, as well as the consultation of library manuscripts and personal records from people close to Manuel M. Ponce’s heirs. This is done with the objective of reuniting the different movements of this musical work.
