Abstract

The objective of this study is to present to the academic community the discovery of musical works composed by Manuel M. Tirado, a prominent figure from Arequipa in the late 19th century. This is accomplished through bibliographic compilation and new findings from the Lazo family archive. Additionally, through harmonic analysis, we aim to examine the stylistic features of one of his compositions. In this way, we seek to contribute to the musical recovery of his work and enrich the discussion on the Peruvian musical landscape of the late 19th century.
