Prologue

Abstract

This Antec, the second issue of 2017, is related to the established periodicity for this type of publication – two issues per year – and concentrates studies by musicians academically trained in Peru and abroad. As guest authors we have counted on the collaboration of Alejandro García Sudo, researcher and doctoral candidate in Musicology at the University of California (UCLA); and Ricardo Otárola Yllescas, renowned instrumentalist and double bass teacher, member of the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru. On behalf of our university, there are outstanding teachers: Daniel Romero Vizcarra, teacher of the Guitar specialty, who in addition to training in France has taught at the Claudine Collart Conservatory; and Mónica Mestanza Revoredo, teacher of Music History and senior lecturer at Markham College in Lima.
